Director Rahul Agarwal had been associated with two hit shows of Star One, Dil Mil Gaye and Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. As Star One has now revamped, Rangmunch.TV got in touch with Rahul to know more about his journey with then Star One, and his views on now - Life OK.
Rangmunch: What about StarOne appealed to you the most as a Channel?
Rahul: The first thing that struck me about Star One was its youthness, its freshness. It was a channel with slice of life shows. Shows which today's generation can relate to. It was free of clichés n regressive themes. That was really appealing.
Rangmunch: How has your journey been as a maker with the Channel and the shows you did?
Rahul: I did two shows with star one namely Dil Mil Gaye and Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. Both are very dear to me as a maker. I loved doing both the shows. One gave me a chance to explore and other to polish :) The channel people were always supportive of new ideas n techniques, which I kept on doing in both the shows. It was a helluva rolla costa ride :) and trust me a scintillating one. With star one it was always work hard and party harder.
Rangmunch: What are the kind of shows you look forward to on Life OK?
Rahul: I think you mean Life Ok. Well being a star network brand, I for sure can say that it will bring path-breaking shows as always and again surprise viewers with the kind of content they will offer. Looking forward to what they have to offer to the makers and audience.
Rangmunch: Your sentiment now, as the Channel has gone in for a re-vamp?
Rahul: Every channel goes through a lotta extensive research and planning right from getting feedback from audience to marketing to branding and finally delivering a ready product. Star one catered to a certain age group because of the youth content of shows. I sure the revamp will be for the betterment :)
Rangmunch: A message to all your viewers on StarOne.
Rahul: It was a very exhilarating journey with all you guys. Your love and support was great. Overwhelming at times :) and not just the viewers, to all who were even remotely involved with the shows, be it the makers, the doers or the watchers. Thank u all for being with us in the journey called Life. Ok :)) Love U all!!
