Item jigs make a foray in the Telly World!

Well, the Telly world is grooming day by day and not because of the spine-chilling storyline of the serials but because of the oomph factor that is being added to the serials these days. And are you wondering what are we talking about. Well, read on and you will get to know.

The recent trend in the telly industry is to feature the hot and sexy item jigs in the serial which earns the serials more and more viewership.

But is it decent enough to earn TRP’s by introducing the raunchy numbers in the background and featuring their actors seducing and doing some off the track act? Well, it so happened in some of the popular serials like ‘Amrit Manthan’ wherein Amrit was seen doing some seductive moves to the hit number Jaanewale Ruk Jaa Zara, also in Star Plus serial ‘Pratigya’- Menka who is the eldest bahu in the family was seen shaking her booty to a raunchy mujra number and last but not the least is TV serial ‘Punar Vivaah’ wherein the latest and famous item number Anarkali Disco Chali danced by Aditi Gupta, took to the floor and entertained the viewers at a bachelor’s party.

Furthermore, our sources reported that earlier also veteran actresses like Shewta Tiwari and Sara Khan were seen dancing away to the tunes of some raunchy numbers in their respective serials. But what is to be noticed is if this new trend of item jigs in telly serials is here to stay or not.

While some of the dignities of telly industry feel that it is a nice and a pleasant change for the serial, others say that this is just another tantrum to seek viewer’s attention. Also, Guroudev Bhalla who is the VP of Pratigya’s production house said that there is no harm in incorporating the item songs in the serial if the script demands it.

Another dignitary, Sukesh Motwani who is the fiction head of ZEE TV feels that this new trend sells as it’s a audio-video approach and he is open to this emerging trend.

With the item numbers having made a foray in the telly industry, we hope that it proves beneficial for the serials and also keep entertaining their audiences.
